Launched in 2014 the second generation Lange 1 grand moonphase measures 41mm in diameter and is 10mm thick, cast here in Rose gold. The case is paired to leather strap with matching pin and buckle clasp. The grand moon phase variant features a larger dial and a slightly different layout with the moon phase display within the time wheel on the left, as apposed to being on the right in the smaller moonphase. 

The case is somewhat domed in profile has a polished finish to it. The dramatic lugs, being a Lange haul mark, contour with the wrist nicely giving it a flush fit. The watch features one pusher adjustment for the moonphase and one for the date adjustment.

The dial itself is cut from one piece of sterling silver and galvanised before having the sub dials cut out and printed. Such is the lunar cycle that most other moonphase movements require correcting every 2 years or so. However, all Lange moon phases are effectively a perpetual movement, only requiring correction every 122 years. 

Our Lange 1 grand moonphase is offered in very good condition, with very little wear marks present. The watch is presented as a full set, complete with Lange warranty book dated 2021, book pack and original Lange box.
